In
1988, the "Atelier du Sage" emerged from "Clay",
where, two people produced rustic pottery, the 'old fashioned' way.
Rapidly
we started to attend trade shows, we re-structured manufacture to
improve productivity and we put an emphasis on creativity. 50% of
our turnover now comes from exports.
Today we manage 5 shops "Atelier du Sage en Provence",
and work alongside more than twenty partners. We have enjoyed steady
growth
yet maintained
the 'handicraft touch' to our production and the nobility of our
know how.
As
we enter the new millennium, the "Atelier du Sage" means
to play its part, however small.
Provence remains our dazzling Muse, a prodigious seductress. Under
her spell, we attempt to capture her most authentic image onto our
hand painted pottery, and to entice you to share in some of her
charm.
Sensitive
to the environment and its protection, we draw our inspiration from
the observation of plants, Fauna and Flora.
I

to
have the pleasure of seeing you again, at some other time. As for
me, I must return to the paintbrush with its slender tip and
the
coloured powders.
